1: There has been too much Austen. Marianne from Sense and Sensibility caused me to cry with the force of my dislike of her, but Brandon had a way of cheering me up. ;) On the other hand, Emma was Fan. Tas. Tic. and Emma has made my Very Short List Of Female Leads I Actually Like, and obviously *glances pointedly at icon* I'm half in love with Emma and Knightly together. They shall be verbal sparing partners until the day one of them dies first! XD
But, yeah, WAY too much Austen. So much, in fact, that my sister has declared that I am an "excessively blubbery koala" (in that I cry and cling during the romantic~ scenes, embarrassingly enough), and start using words like "intolerable" and saying thinks like "It shall not be borne!" without even thinking about it. *palmface*
2: Got back in touch with a friend that I've known since I was about five. He says seven, but no. Five. I promise. I almost forgot how much he makes me laugh and smile. I shouldn't go that long without talking with him, but we're generally the kind of friends that meet once to three times a year and say, "Hey! Great to see you! Where were we? Ah, yes, we were talking about...". And I make him suffer through my hugs. :P
The one things about him that I really don't like about him, is the fact that I come up to, like, his bellybutton. >.< Not. Fair.
Aaaand now my sister's watching An American Tail. :D It's times like these that I remember why I adore her.
(As a side note, the possibility of me continuing the slave!Jim verse is becoming more and more likely, as is the epic Angst Fest that will quickly turn into the Epic Fluff Fest Of DOOOOM. <.< Not entirely certain how that's even supposed to work, but meh. We'll see. ;) )

So, my sister's come to visit and I subsequently haven't spent just a bunch on time online- we've been a little manic about our Epic Supernatural Re-Watch. Or just Watch, for her- poor thing hasn't gotten past a few episodes into season two, if that! D: But things should smooth out a little now that my little sister's left on vacation with my dad (and his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's manic, spoiled little brat daughter. Have fun? o.o;)
Unfortunately, before she left she re-infected me with a pokemon itch, so now I'm abusing my 'Micro. Again. *palmface* (As an amusing (to me) side note, I am firmly convinced that my Clefable does not have a pound attack, she has a slap a bitch attack. She also appears to despise Zubats with a fiery passion. I'm...I'm not sure what to do with that.)
I can't say what I feel about what my sister's done to my muse- she generally dislikes fanfiction (she tries to use me as her filtering system for all the good stuff, but I'm easy, sooo...), but she's somehow put me into overdrive writing, and of course she insists on reading everything I write. I mean, I do it to her, too, but...
Anyway, I'm writing something for a prompt I saw on the kink meme that will be angst-ridden and willhopefully make several people cry. That is, as long as I can convince my muse to quit it with it's horribly, atrociously, embarrassingly black humor.

Title: Such a Perfect Anachronism
Beta:
cozibizzle (Thank you!); thanks to
bloodytastic for reading it ahead of time.
Pairing: Kirk/Spock, mostly theoretical Bones/Kirk
Rating: PG - PG-13
Warnings: Kirk's a slave (even if he doesn't really act like it); for the most part implied (but still present) substance abuse.
Summery: Spock has become a master escapist in a terribly literal way.
A/N: I saw the word 'anachronism' yesterday and looked it up. Cool word (English: you can love it or hate it or be like me (have a highly dysfunctional and confusing relationship that you regret each night as you go to bed)). It combined in my head with a vague recollection with a really awesome prompt from the kink meme a while back about an AU wherein Kirk is Spock's slave, and this was spawned. Also, this may or may not be the basis for a longer fic where I flesh out what's going on a little bit more, but, then again maybe not.

So, I officially signed up for
reel_startrek . I've decided to write a fallback for it, just in case something happens and Deft throws my muse off of a cliff again. It'll just be a bitty thing, but I don't want to be one of those people that sign up for something and don't follow through (especially when I have no good excuse, except perhaps moving, but that's not even on me, soooo...). 1,000 words. Maybe a little over. It's lining up in my head as a series of snapshots, so we'll see how it turns out. ;)
I'M SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT...~
(Also, went to lunch with my uncle today. He's blond now... So weird. But there is a Wii party in my future! \o/)

MY BRAIN. IT IS OFF IN THE LAND OF LALA AND MAKE-BELIEVE. THEIR LOVE IS SO EPIC AND FOR ONCE, I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT SPOCK AND KIRK OR ADAM AND HIRO OR HAGI AND SAYA.
...*ahem*
I'll stop caslocking not but I'm serious. They are so sweet and after he died she kept having his clothes lain out every morning for 39 bloody years! It's so romantic, in a maudlin sort of way. And also Melbourne redeemed himself in the end! YAY for happy endings, y/n?
Semi-pointless note: my goal for tonight is to at least hit the 1,500 word count for reel trek. *crosses fingers*

I forgot how much I love this movie! *dances* It's so awesome- if I could write like it gives you visuals, I would be a very happy panda.
This is going to be so much fun doing it for
reel_startrek! ...Well, hopefully. I'll sprint over Tuesday morning and claim it. I don't think there's honestly much chance of it being claimed before I get there, but, meh. You never know. It is, again, a beautiful movie. And I adore the beginning sequence to pieces. That is something I could watch on a loop until the end of time, and oh my god but the woman who plays grown-up Amélie is gorgeous! Seriously, absolutely beautiful.

Uh, hi?
I'm basically here because
reel_startrek looks like loads of fun and I decided to stop lurking. Also, now when I say "I'll just be in my corner", I can actually mean something. XD
So basically, here's me crossing my fingers and watching Amélie a million times between now and September 1st.
